ADNOC’s Strategies for Stable Energy Supplies Reviewed by Sheikh Khaled

Date:

Amid growing uncertainties in global energy markets, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed has underscored the critical role of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC). During a meeting at ADNOC’s headquarters, where he led the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors, Sheikh Khaled evaluated the company’s operational and financial performance. The discussion also covered strategies to ensure stable energy supplies, considering recent challenges in maritime navigation within the region.

Sheikh Khaled emphasized the need for ADNOC to bolster its status as an integrated energy company by enhancing connections between production, trading, and logistics. He highlighted the significance of operational flexibility and the company’s integrated capabilities in meeting the demands of its customers. The meeting also included a briefing on ADNOC’s global liquefied natural gas (LNG) marketing and trading platform, which was launched in July. This platform sets a target to achieve 47 million tonnes per annum of marketable LNG beyond 2030, thereby expanding supply options for customers and supporting access to ADNOC’s expanding gas portfolio.

Prior to this meeting, Sheikh Khaled toured ADNOC’s emergency control centre, where he met with employees and business continuity teams. These teams play a crucial role in maintaining safe and efficient operations, particularly during times of disruption. This visit highlighted the company’s preparedness and resilience in handling unforeseen challenges that may arise in the energy sector.

The discussions during the meeting were aimed at enhancing ADNOC’s capacity to adapt to the evolving global energy landscape while ensuring that customer needs are met with secure and reliable energy supplies. Sheikh Khaled’s directives reflect a strategic focus on strengthening ADNOC’s operational framework and market reach, positioning the company to navigate the complexities of the energy market effectively.
