Swift Victory: “K-Pop Demon Hunters” Claims Netflix’s Top Spot in Months

Date:

In a meteoric rise to the top, “K-Pop Demon Hunters” has conquered the streaming world. The animated K-pop film has become Netflix’s most-watched movie of all time in just a few months since its debut in June, showcasing an explosive popularity that has reshaped the platform’s hierarchy.
Amassing 236 million views in a remarkably short period, the movie demonstrated its immediate and powerful connection with audiences worldwide. This swift accumulation of viewers allowed it to unseat “Red Notice,” a film packed with established Hollywood stars, proving that a cultural zeitgeist can be more powerful than a famous cast.
While its ascent to the top of the view count chart was rapid, it holds the third position for total minutes watched. Its 23 billion minutes are behind “Red Notice” and “Don’t Look Up,” a statistic that reflects its more compact 100-minute story.
The film’s whirlwind success has also stormed the music charts, with four of its songs landing in the Billboard Hot 100’s top 10. With a sequel already confirmed, the rapid expansion of the “K-Pop Demon Hunters” universe is set to continue its record-breaking pace.
