President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held high-level talks with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif during an official visit to Islamabad, with discussions focused on strengthening long-standing bilateral relations.
The two leaders reviewed avenues to enhance cooperation across key sectors, including the economy, investment, and development. President Sheikh Mohamed emphasised the deep-rooted historical ties between the UAE and Pakistan, highlighting the role of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in laying a strong foundation for the relationship.
The talks also covered coordination on regional and international issues. President Sheikh Mohamed noted that Pakistan’s current membership of the UN Security Council provides an opportunity for closer collaboration in efforts to promote global peace and stability. He reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to expanding cooperation to achieve shared growth and prosperity.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif described the visit as an important milestone in bilateral relations, reflecting the shared determination of both countries to further strengthen their partnership.
The meeting was attended by senior officials and members of the accompanying delegation from both sides.
