The United Arab Emirates is bracing for a mix of rain, strong winds, and high temperatures on Tuesday, as the weather conditions are expected to become unsettled across various regions. Forecasts indicate that temperatures could soar to 40°C in some inland areas, while convective clouds might bring rainfall over the northern, eastern, and southern parts of the country.
Weather conditions are anticipated to be fair to partly cloudy, with winds shifting from light to moderate and potentially reaching fresh to strong levels at times. These winds, which could hit speeds of up to 45 km/h in inland areas and 40 km/h in mountainous regions, may also cause blowing dust.
In terms of temperature, inland areas can expect readings between 35°C and 40°C. Coastal areas and islands might see temperatures ranging from 33°C to 37°C, while mountainous regions are likely to experience cooler conditions, with temperatures between 26°C and 32°C.
Overnight, humidity levels are predicted to rise, particularly affecting some coastal and inland locations, which might result in fog or mist by Wednesday morning. The Arabian Gulf is expected to see conditions ranging from slight to moderate, whereas the Oman Sea is likely to remain slight.
The unsettled weather is linked to a surface low-pressure system paired with a weak upper-level low-pressure system, and it could persist through Saturday. On Wednesday, further rain-bearing clouds are likely to develop over northern and eastern areas, with wind speeds potentially reaching 50 km/h. More rainfall is possible on Thursday in eastern and southern regions, mainly in eastern areas on Friday, and across eastern and northern areas on Saturday.
As the week progresses, the potential for fog or mist will continue overnight and during early mornings, especially in western coastal and inland regions. Residents and visitors should remain vigilant and prepared for these rapidly changing weather conditions.
