Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, will head a high-level UAE delegation at the 46th Gulf Co-operation Council Summit set to begin in Bahrain on Wednesday. He will represent President Sheikh Mohamed at the regional gathering.
The summit will bring together leaders and senior officials from the six GCC member states — the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Bahrain. The meeting is expected to focus on strengthening co-operation across economic, political and social sectors, while advancing joint regional initiatives.
Key issues are likely to include ongoing humanitarian concerns in Gaza and the need to ensure the continued delivery of essential aid to affected civilians. The situation dominated last year’s summit discussions and is anticipated to be a major topic again this year.
Sheikh Mansour previously represented the UAE at the 45th GCC Summit held in Kuwait City.
