As temperatures in the United Arab Emirates are predicted to soar to 46°C in certain inland areas on Saturday, residents are also being cautioned about potential fog and mist due to high humidity levels. These weather conditions are anticipated to affect visibility, particularly during the overnight and early morning hours.
The UAE’s National Center of Meteorology indicates that the weather will remain generally fair to partly cloudy, with light to moderate winds. Inland regions could experience temperatures ranging from 41°C to 46°C, while coastal areas and islands might see slightly cooler temperatures between 36°C and 41°C. In the mountainous regions, temperatures are forecasted to be between 29°C and 35°C.
Humidity levels could rise to as much as 95% in some locations, particularly affecting coastal and inland areas with fog or mist from late Saturday through Sunday morning. The high humidity is expected to be a recurring feature throughout the upcoming week.
Looking ahead, similar weather patterns are expected to persist, with fog and mist likely during the early morning hours through Wednesday and Thursday. Additionally, the eastern parts of the country may observe increased cloud cover on Monday afternoon, potentially leading to the formation of convective clouds.
Wind speeds may occasionally reach up to 35 km/h, and while the sea conditions are largely expected to remain slight, there could be periods of moderate to rough seas, especially in the Sea of Oman.
