UAE President Unveils 13 New Residential Communities Delivering Over 40,000 Homes in Abu Dhabi

Date:

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan attended the launch of 13 major residential projects across Abu Dhabi, aimed at providing more than 40,000 homes and plots for Emirati citizens at a total cost of Dh106 billion. These projects mark a major milestone in advancing housing development and social stability in the emirate.
The agreements, signed between the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, the Abu Dhabi Projects and Infrastructure Centre (ADPIC), and leading property developers, include 25,244 housing units over five years valued at Dh94 billion, and 14,876 residential plots worth Dh12 billion. These developments are designed to meet the highest international standards, offering integrated communities equipped with modern facilities.
Planned communities will feature commercial centres, mosques, schools, public parks, green areas, and sports facilities. Sheikh Mohamed emphasized that these projects aim to foster family wellbeing, enhance citizens’ quality of life, and strengthen the stability of society, underscoring housing as a national priority.
The developments will be spread across Abu Dhabi City, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra. Abu Dhabi City will see six integrated communities with 14,444 housing units costing Dh55.38 billion. Al Ain will host five communities with 10,480 housing units costing Dh36.95 billion. In Al Dhafra, two projects in Al Sila and Madinat Zayed will provide 320 homes at a cost of Dh1.59 billion.
Officials stressed the importance of cooperation between government bodies and the private sector to deliver housing that meets citizens’ needs. A map-based reservation system will allow residents to select their preferred locations, with all units expected to be allocated within two years. The projects also reflect Abu Dhabi’s commitment to sustainable urban development and enhancing the wellbeing of its citizens.
