UAE Weather Challenges Expected to Impact Business Operations and Economic Activity

Date:

The United Arab Emirates is bracing for a spell of unsettled weather, with forecasts predicting increased rainfall, dusty conditions, and strong winds over the next two days. Wind speeds are expected to reach up to 45 kilometers per hour, creating challenging conditions across the region. The National Centre of Meteorology has indicated that these weather patterns will likely impact the eastern and western parts of the UAE, notably around Fujairah and Al Ain. In contrast, the cities of Dubai and Abu Dhabi are anticipated to remain mostly dry during this period.

As these weather changes unfold, motorists are advised to exercise caution due to reduced visibility caused by blowing dust. The authorities have issued warnings urging drivers to be particularly vigilant in such conditions to ensure safety on the roads. Despite the expected precipitation and winds, the UAE will continue to experience extremely high temperatures, underscoring the region’s characteristic summer climate.

In terms of temperature, the weekend will see some of the highest figures, with Abu Dhabi reaching up to 46 degrees Celsius and Dubai slightly cooler at 45 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, Al Quaa is predicted to face the most intense heat, with temperatures soaring to 49 degrees Celsius. These extreme temperatures are typical of the UAE’s summer months, where residents often contend with scorching heat alongside varying weather patterns.

The predicted weather underscores the diversity of conditions that can occur simultaneously across different parts of the UAE. While some areas may experience heavy rainfall and cloud cover, others remain dry and hot. It reflects the unique climatic challenges faced by a country that is no stranger to rapidly changing weather conditions. Such changes necessitate ongoing vigilance and adaptability from residents and authorities alike.
