UAE and Montenegro Strengthen Ties as Leaders Discuss Economic and Strategic Cooperation

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, welcomed His Excellency Milojko Spajić, Prime Minister of Montenegro, during a working visit to the UAE, reinforcing the growing partnership between the two nations.

The discussions focused on deepening economic collaboration, expanding investment opportunities, and enhancing cooperation in renewable energy, food security, infrastructure, technology, and tourism. Both leaders emphasized their shared commitment to sustainable development and fostering innovation through strategic initiatives.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid reaffirmed the UAE’s dedication to strengthening global partnerships, highlighting the importance of working together to address key challenges such as climate change, energy sustainability, and economic resilience. The leaders also reviewed regional and global developments, stressing the need for collective efforts to promote peace and stability.

The meeting underscored the momentum gained through recent bilateral agreements, which are expected to accelerate economic growth, boost tourism, and increase investment flows between the two countries. Prime Minister Spajić expressed Montenegro’s enthusiasm for expanding collaboration with the UAE, tapping into opportunities that align with both nations’ long-term economic ambitions.

Since establishing diplomatic ties in 2008, UAE-Montenegro relations have flourished, with public and private sector initiatives paving the way for stronger economic integration. This latest meeting signals a new chapter in the partnership, opening doors for further strategic cooperation and mutual prosperity.

The meeting was attended by several high-ranking UAE officials, including His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Minister of Cabinet Affairs Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of State for International Cooperation Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, and Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Director General of HH The Dubai Ruler’s Court.
