Dubai Police Warn Fans Ahead of India-Pakistan Asia Cup 2025 Clash

Date:

Dubai Police have issued a safety advisory ahead of the highly anticipated Asia Cup 2025 match between India and Pakistan at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Authorities urged spectators to follow stadium rules, avoid disruptive behaviour, and uphold the UAE’s reputation for hosting world-class sporting events.
Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations at Dubai Police and Chairman of the Events Security Committee, confirmed that specialised police units are fully prepared to secure all Asia Cup matches. He warned that strict legal measures will be taken against anyone who threatens public safety.
Under the Federal Law on the Security of Sports Facilities and Events, fans face imprisonment of up to three months and fines of Dh5,000 to Dh30,000 for entering the pitch illegally or bringing prohibited items such as fireworks. Acts of violence, throwing objects, or using racist or abusive language can result in fines up to Dh30,000 along with jail terms.
The Events Security Committee advised fans to arrive three hours before kick-off, carry valid tickets, and avoid carrying banned items. Prohibited items include fireworks, flammable substances, lasers, umbrellas, large cameras, selfie sticks, sharp objects, toxic substances, pets, remote-controlled devices, bicycles, scooters, skateboards, and glass items.
Al Mazrouei emphasised that these rules are designed to ensure the safety of players, officials, and spectators throughout the tournament.
