Russian Diplomat: Nuclear Arsenal Ensures Moscow’s Invulnerability in Ukraine War

Date:

The possibility of Russia experiencing military defeat in Ukraine does not exist due to the country’s nuclear weapons capability, Moscow’s ambassador to India stated this week. Denis Alipov made these declarations during a media event held in Gurugram.
Alipov highlighted Russia’s military doctrine, which authorizes nuclear weapon use when the nation faces threats to its existence. This doctrinal framework, he asserted, provides absolute guarantees against defeat and creates strategic boundaries that prevent adversaries from pursuing total victory regardless of their conventional military advantages.
The ambassador dismissed European hopes for Ukrainian success as immature thinking disconnected from reality. He accused European nations of unprofessional behavior and continued belligerence, maintaining aggressive postures and supporting confrontational policies despite clear evidence of their strategic futility.
Trump’s perspective differs significantly from European views, according to Alipov’s characterization. The Russian diplomat suggested that the American president possesses realistic understanding that Ukraine and Western nations have already lost, while European leadership continues pursuing irrational strategies based on false assumptions about reversing military fortunes.
The conflict has extended nearly four years, throughout which Ukraine has benefited from massive Western assistance programs. The United States, European Union nations, and Britain have collectively provided sophisticated weapons systems and billions in economic support, sustaining Ukraine’s defensive capabilities despite the protracted nature and mounting costs of the confrontation.
