Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, has called on citizens and residents across the UAE to join in celebrating Flag Day on Monday, November 3, by raising the national flag in unison at 11 a.m.
In a message shared on X, Sheikh Mohammed described Flag Day as a moment to renew loyalty and express pride in the UAE’s unity and heritage. “On November 3, we celebrate Flag Day — an occasion to reaffirm our love for the UAE flag, the symbol of our sovereignty and union,” he said. “We call upon all citizens, residents, and institutions to raise the flag as a gesture of unity and belonging.”
Established in 2013 to commemorate the accession of the late President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Flag Day has become a cherished national tradition. The UAE flag’s four colors each carry symbolic meaning: white for peace and generosity, green for growth and prosperity, black for strength and resilience, and red for the sacrifices made by earlier generations in defending the nation.
Schools, government entities, and private organizations across the country will mark the occasion with ceremonies and cultural events, reflecting national pride and solidarity.
