UAE’s New Ministers Sworn In Before President Sheikh Mohamed

Three newly appointed ministers officially took their oaths of office before President Sheikh Mohamed in Abu Dhabi on Monday. The ceremony at Qasr Al Watan confirmed Lana Nusseibeh, Saeed Al Hajeri, and Ahmed Al Sayegh in their new government roles.
Lana Nusseibeh and Saeed Al Hajeri were both appointed as Ministers of State, while Ahmed Al Sayegh assumed the position of Minister of Health and Prevention. The event was attended by senior UAE leaders, including Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, and other high-ranking officials.
President Sheikh Mohamed congratulated the ministers and urged them to continue advancing the UAE’s development, prosperity, and global leadership. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid highlighted the importance of Emirati talent in shaping the nation’s future and strengthening its government institutions.
Profiles of the New Ministers:
Lana Nusseibeh previously served as Assistant Minister for Political Affairs and as the UAE’s Permanent Representative to the UN for over a decade. She has been instrumental in promoting peace efforts in Gaza and leading humanitarian initiatives.

Saeed Al Hajeri has extensive experience in economic and trade affairs, with previous roles at the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, and the Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination. He also represents the UAE as Sherpa to the BRICS group.

Ahmed Al Sayegh formerly served as Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, overseeing international economic relations. He sits on the boards of Adnoc, the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, and Emirates Nature–WWF.
