Economic Boost as UAE Leaders Participate in Eid Al Adha Celebrations

Eid Al Adha prayers were observed by UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday morning, alongside a gathering of senior leaders, officials, and worshippers. This marked the commencement of the religious festival celebrated across the nation. Following the prayers, Sheikh Mohamed engaged in exchanging Eid greetings with attendees, a traditional act symbolizing unity and togetherness during this significant occasion.

Dr. Omar Al Darei, who chairs the General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, and Zakat, delivered a sermon highlighting the pivotal role of honesty as the cornerstone for building trust, fostering national unity, and ensuring social stability. He also commended the UAE leadership for its dedication to strengthening the nation through unified efforts and commitment to national interests. In a moment of reflection, the President and those present recited Al Fatiha in honor of the UAE’s Founding Father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

Accompanying Sheikh Mohamed were prominent figures such as Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed, and Sheikh Saif bin Zayed, signifying the event’s importance and the leadership’s shared commitment to the country’s values and traditions. Across the Emirates, similar scenes unfolded as rulers and senior leaders participated in Eid prayers, joining citizens and residents in various mosques.

In Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed performed prayers at Zabeel Grand Mosque, while in Sharjah, Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi attended the Sharjah Mosque. The spirit of the celebration extended to other Emirates, with Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi attending prayers at Al Zaher Palace Mosque in Ajman, and Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi participating at Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Fujairah.

Further highlighting the widespread observance, Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla offered Eid prayers at Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Mualla Mosque in Umm Al Quwain, and Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi joined worshippers at Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Mosque in Ras Al Khaimah. These collective gatherings marked the beginning of Eid Al Adha celebrations throughout the UAE, drawing thousands to mosques nationwide to partake in the spiritual and communal festivities.
