Sheikh Hamdan Champions Emirati Educators, Launches ‘Inspiration Talks’ to Elevate Private Sector Teaching

Date:

In a landmark gathering at the Etihad Museum, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, met with Emirati educators from Dubai’s private education sector, alongside retired teachers, to celebrate Emirati Day for Education.

Also in attendance were Abdulla Mohammed Al Basti, Secretary-General of The Executive Council of Dubai, and Aisha Miran, Director-General of the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), reinforcing the government’s commitment to advancing the education sector.

A Vision for Global Leadership in Education
Sheikh Hamdan reaffirmed the UAE’s steadfast dedication to positioning itself as a world leader in education, guided by the vision of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai.

He emphasized that human development remains the cornerstone of national progress, with teachers serving as the foundation for building a knowledge-driven society. By equipping educators with the necessary tools and resources, the UAE continues to invest in the future of learning, innovation, and leadership.

Honoring Educators as Pillars of Society
Sheikh Hamdan extended heartfelt appreciation to teachers for their unwavering commitment, integrity, and role in shaping young minds. He particularly commended retired educators for their lifelong service in instilling patriotism, Emirati values, and leadership qualities in generations of students who now contribute to the nation’s success across various fields.

“Our mission is to empower Emirati teachers as the backbone of our education system. We have full confidence in their ability to carry this national responsibility with dedication and integrity. I have directed KHDA to enhance support for Emirati teachers in the private sector and address any challenges they may face,” he stated.

Transforming Education for the Future
During the discussion, Sheikh Hamdan engaged with the educators about the evolving landscape of education and the transformations necessary to align with Dubai’s Education 33 strategy—a long-term vision for an innovative, inclusive, and globally competitive education system.

He encouraged Emirati teachers to play a greater role in shaping a dynamic learning environment, one that not only fosters academic excellence but also cultivates creativity, resilience, and national identity.

Introducing ‘Inspiration Talks’: A Platform for Educator Growth
As part of his commitment to empowering Emirati educators, Sheikh Hamdan announced the launch of ‘Inspiration Talks’, a groundbreaking initiative designed to foster collaboration, professional development, and leadership growth within the education sector.

Led by KHDA, this initiative will provide Emirati teachers in private schools and early childhood centers with specialized training programs, career development support, and leadership opportunities.

Additionally, a mentorship program will connect young Emirati educators with retired teachers, offering them guidance, knowledge-sharing, and professional coaching to accelerate their career progression.

A Collective Commitment to Excellence
The educators expressed their deep gratitude to Sheikh Hamdan for his unwavering support and dedication to elevating the teaching profession. They pledged to continue shaping future generations of Emirati leaders, ensuring the UAE’s legacy of excellence, progress, and innovation remains strong for years to come.

With bold initiatives like ‘Inspiration Talks’, the UAE reaffirms its commitment to creating a world-class education system, one that empowers teachers, nurtures talent, and prepares students for the future.
