Unsettled Weather in UAE: Rain, Fog, and Dusty Winds Forecasted

Date:

The United Arab Emirates is gearing up for a week of unsettled weather, with conditions ranging from rainfall to fog and dusty winds. This weather change is attributed to surface and upper-air low-pressure systems impacting the region, with residents and motorists advised to remain cautious due to potential reduced visibility, especially during early morning and overnight hours.

Starting Saturday, October 17, convective clouds are forecasted to develop over eastern parts of the UAE in the afternoon, possibly bringing rain. The weather will be fair to partly cloudy, with inland temperatures reaching between 37°C and 42°C, coastal areas experiencing 35°C to 40°C, and mountainous regions seeing 28°C to 33°C.

Sunday, October 18, could see rainfall in northern and eastern areas as cloud cover increases in the afternoon. Overnight humidity is expected to rise, creating favorable conditions for fog or mist in coastal and inland areas by Monday morning.

Further rainfall is anticipated on Monday, October 19, particularly in eastern and southern regions. Fog or mist may develop in some western areas overnight into Tuesday morning. Wind speeds could reach 40 km/h, leading to dusty conditions in exposed locations.

On Tuesday, similar weather patterns are expected, with convective clouds possibly bringing rain to eastern and southern UAE. Winds might strengthen, reaching speeds of up to 50 km/h, causing blowing dust.

By Wednesday, October 21, skies are likely to remain fair to partly cloudy, but there’s still a chance of afternoon rain in eastern and southern areas. High humidity levels overnight could lead to fog or mist in coastal and inland areas on Thursday morning.
