In a bid to reinforce the United Arab Emirates’ dedication to its citizens and national progress, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan engaged in discussions with Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, the Ruler of Fujairah, in Abu Dhabi on Thursday. Both leaders highlighted the pivotal role that Emirati citizens play in the country’s development strategy, underscoring their importance in realizing the nation’s future goals. They also expressed prayers for the sustained security, prosperity, and advancement of the UAE.
Sheikh Hamad was accompanied by his son, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, who serves as the Crown Prince of Fujairah. The meeting saw the presence of several high-ranking officials, including Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi. Also in attendance were Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs, and Sheikh Dr. Rashid bin Hamad Al Sharqi, the Chairman of the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority, alongside various ministers and government representatives.
The talks were part of the UAE’s leadership’s routine engagements designed to assess national priorities, foster inter-emirate collaboration, and enhance the living standards of both citizens and residents. These discussions are integral to ensuring that the nation’s strategic objectives are aligned with the aspirations of its people and the broader vision for national development.
This meeting follows a visit by President Sheikh Mohamed to Fujairah in April, where he and Sheikh Hamad toured key infrastructure projects, including Fujairah Port. During this visit, they evaluated ongoing development initiatives and operational enhancements at the port, which is a vital maritime hub for the UAE.
